My Most Ambitious Project Yet!
The original idea behind East Valley Drinkers was simple: create a community where people around Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, Queen Creek, and the surrounding East Valley could discover places to grab a drink and meet other people who enjoy doing the same.
The system can organize beers by style, including IPA, lager, Kölsch, pilsner, hard seltzer, Märzen, and others. It can also show which beers someone has already voted for.
Community voting can help determine a brewery’s most popular beers. Those results can appear on brewery profiles, directories, rankings, and eventually dedicated leaderboards.
Every Website Has a Story
I didn’t want this to be another traditional web design portfolio filled with screenshots and short descriptions. Every website has a story behind it—a client, a business, an idea, and a reason the website needed to be built.
My project articles provide a closer look at the businesses and people I’ve worked with. I explain what the client does, what the project needed to accomplish, and the design, development, SEO, content, or custom functionality involved.
The projects cover a wide range of industries, from local service businesses and photographers to authors, consumer brands, educational organizations, e-commerce companies, and projects I’ve developed from the ground up.
Building Websites That Can Grow
I don’t believe every business needs the same type of website. A local service company has different needs than an author, photographer, online retailer, or content-driven publication.
I approach each project by understanding the business, its audience, and what the website actually needs to accomplish. Sometimes that means a straightforward business website. Other projects require e-commerce, hundreds of pages, custom WordPress development, interactive tools, local search optimization, or an ongoing content strategy.
